In Piedmont, Langhe and Monferrato draw a landscape made of great wines and gourmet food.

A landscape its river, Tanaro, tends to split to differentiate them in history and culture. Hills echo and run one after the other, and try to copy one another – they may settle down softly one beside the other or be abruptly interrupted by steep overhanging calanchi.

Langa and Monferrato geological evolution took place in the Tertiary age, an era that lasted over sixty million years. Nowadays this evolution is represented by the compactness of the local calcareous and clayey marny soils – the true origin of territory specific vocation for wine.

Castiglione Tinella, where the company is located, represents the heart of these two large areas and it divides Langa vineyards from Monferrato ones. On these hills, Icardi family has drawn the mosaic pattern of her estate, acquiring in time some of the best locations.
